Our Mission
Cosmetic surgery is a significant decision — medically, financially, and emotionally. Yet most of the information online is produced by clinics with a commercial interest in your booking. We built LiposuctionTurkey.us to change that.
Our mission is simple: give patients the same quality of evidence-based information a well-connected friend in medicine would give them — honest, clear, and free from promotional pressure. That means explaining complication rates accurately, publishing realistic recovery timelines, and not pretending every patient will achieve a result from a stock photo.
We cover the full patient journey: understanding the procedures, comparing techniques, researching costs, evaluating surgeons abroad (particularly in Turkey), and navigating recovery. Every article is written to the same standard we'd want for a member of our own family.
What We Are Not
- Not a clinic — we do not perform surgery, employ surgeons, or have any financial interest in a clinical outcome.
- Not a booking platform — we do not take a per-booking commission from clinics in exchange for featuring them.
- Not a paid promotional site — clinics cannot pay us to appear in our guides or to receive a positive editorial assessment.
- Not a substitute for medical advice — always consult a licensed surgeon before making any surgical decision. See our full Medical Disclaimer.
Editorial Team
Our content is written and edited by health journalists and researchers with specialist knowledge in plastic and reconstructive surgery, patient safety, and medical tourism. Key factual claims are verified against peer-reviewed sources, and clinical content is reviewed by board-certified medical professionals before publication.
We are committed to transparency: articles display the date they were last reviewed, and we update content when new evidence or guidelines emerge. See our full editorial standards.
Medical Review Process
Articles that contain clinical claims — about complication rates, surgical technique, anaesthesia, recovery expectations, or candidacy — are reviewed by qualified medical professionals prior to publication. Our reviewers are board-certified in plastic surgery or related specialties. They check for factual accuracy and flag claims that are unsupported or outdated.
Medical review does not mean every claim represents the personal opinion of the reviewer — it means the content is factually consistent with current peer-reviewed literature and clinical guidelines. We clearly note the review date on every article.
Our Sources
We cite peer-reviewed journals, professional society guidance, and established patient information organisations. Our primary reference sources include:
- The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)
- The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS)
- ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery)

Editorial Independence
Our commercial model (explained fully in How We Make Money) is designed to be compatible with editorial independence. We may earn referral commissions when readers enquire through some of our links, but we do not allow commercial relationships to influence rankings, recommendations, or article content. Our editorial team operates independently from any commercial function.
